For the first cohort of the Climate Action Accelerator, we are spotlighting the fashion industry—a sector with immense environmental impact but equally immense potential for transformation, as our research for the Impact Hub Berlin's trend report on AI has recently shown.
Contributing 10% of global carbon emissions, 20% of industrial water pollution, 92 million tons of waste annually, and 79 billion cubic meters water annually, the fashion industry is one of the most environmentally damaging sectors, surpassing many consumer goods industries. Its harm is driven by a linear consumption model, high resource dependency, and significant waste production.
The Climate Action Accelerator is designed for mission-driven startups whose business models significantly contribute to climate protection. We are seeking early-growth teams with a clear, measurable impact model, ready to scale their solutions. If your startup is driving meaningful climate action in the fashion industry and you’re ready to take it to the next level, this programme is for you!
If your startup is making a real, positive impact on the planet, we want to help you grow and scale!
We support a variety of impact-driven solutions in fashion or fashion industry, including but not limited to:
Virtual try-ons and digital clothing reduce physical production and waste in retail.
A series of workshops with mentors, coaches and cooperation partners, to learn the fundamentals of setting up and scaling a business and partnership building.Topics will include impact analysis and communication, financial planning and pricing models, pitch training, marketing and organisational development.

We aim for gender parity among founders and create structures that also take into account the realities of life for female and non-binary founders. We actively encourage FLINTA* individuals to apply and give special consideration to people from the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities as well as people with disabilities.
The customised, three-month accelerator is a hybrid programme, organised into sprints.
At the beginning of the programme, we conduct an individual skills assessment and needs analysis for each team using a business diagnostic sheet. Based on this, an individual development plan (roadmap) is drawn up with each team as plan for the accelerator programme and beyond.
Join our Q&A session on 14 January at 16:00 to learn more about the programme and meet the programme team! Register here.
