The Impact of becoming a mentor

Mentoring purpose-driven founders is a chance to give back in a meaningful way. Mentor profile

For us, an ideal mentor doesn’t follow a strict profile. The most successful mentors share a passion for knowledge-sharing and collaboration. Common mentor backgrounds include but are not limited to:

✅ Topic experts (specific industry knowledge)
✅ Investors (VCs, angels, ecosystem builders)
✅ Senior industry professionals
✅ Academia & policy makers
✅ Serial entrepreneurs
✅ Business skills coaches

Time commitment

Your time commitment as a mentor is fully up to you.

You and the founder/startup will determine your meeting schedule together based on their needs and your availability.

In our experience, mentors typically spend about one hour every two weeks with a team participating in a three-month programme.

Our programmes

We run a variety of startup support programmes, ranging from sustainable fashion and food to climate tech and DEI. The startups we work with are always looking for experts to help guide them through specific challenges. Explore our programmes here.

It’s been a privilege to be part of Impact Hub Berlin’s DEI advisory board and mentor a start-up in the first cohort of the FINTA incubator, Empower Now. Supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs to feel seen, valued, and empowered was an honor.“I deeply appreciate the Impact Hub team’s dedication in creating a truly unique experience for historically overlooked founders, and I’m grateful to have played a small part in it.

Mentoring at Impact Hub has been an incredible journey, full of bold ideas, ‘aha!’ big dreams, and the occasional ‘aha!’ moments! For me, it’s about giving back, sharing lessons, and helping others navigate the chaos of building from scratch. Grateful to be part of an ecosystem where no idea is too wild to explore! The startup world is a rollercoaster, but with the right support, it’s one worth riding.
Kinda Dalla

Mentoring Impact Hub’s founders is inspiring, they tackle societal challenges with creativity, grit, and purpose. Here is the most valuable lesson I have learned collaborating with Impact Hub: Slowing down accelerates progress. Especially in impact-driven ventures, reframing the challenge can be the shift that unlocks real growth.
