Are you a passionate impact entrepreneur tackling the challenge of food waste? Are you ready to take your startup to the next level by joining a partnership-focused acceleration programme? Then apply to join the ImpAct Accelerator and receive the expert support you need to scale your business!

The first cohort of our new programme, ImpAct Accelerator is now open for applications! For the first edition of the accelerator, we’re looking for startups which address the issue of food waste across supply chains, including both B2B and B2C solutions. The programme will take place in a hybrid model and last for six weeks, starting September. We will select five to seven teams, which will receive an intensive and immersive support to accelerate their growth.

The Sustainable Food Ecosystem at Impact Hub Berlin


At Impact Hub Berlin, we want to support building a circular food & farming chain to strengthen regenerative agriculture and promote healthy, local diets.

We believe that impact startups have the potential and innovation to disrupt the unsustainable structures prevalent in the food industry.

By joining our new ImpAct Accelerator, you'll become part of our vibrant Sustainable Food ecosystem and gain access to resources, networks, and opportunities to scale your impact.

Details at a glance

Six weeks, starting September 4, 2023.

Masterclasses, guidance from exceptional mentors, potential partner introductions, visibility, networking, no equity, compensation for travel & accommodation expenses, access to the global Impact Hub network.

Focus: Impact entrepreneurs & startups focusing on food waste supply chain solutions, including both B2B and B2C solutions. Stage: Startups that have already developed a product and have tested it on the market. Ideally, your startup should have achieved a first inflection point, such as acquiring clients, securing investment, or having intellectual property. Location: Startups based in Germany.  

Hybrid: first 2 weeks & last week of the programme will be held in person in Berlin; the rest will take place in a virtual setup.

Programme benefits

Exceptional mentors:
At ImpAct Accelerator, we provide exceptional mentors who have deep industry knowledge and expertise. Our mentors will guide you through the challenges of scaling your startup and help you navigate the complexity of the food waste landscape.

You will have the opportunity to introduce your solutions with our partner companies such as Miele, BSR, Rentenbank & more.

Global Impact Hub network:
Opportunity to connect with the 24,000+ members of the global Impact Hub network.

Hybrid participation:
During the programme, you will spend two weeks in Berlin, where you can tap into our extensive network and participate in the Impact Entrepreneurship Forum.

Compensation:
We cover your travel & accommodation expenses up to 800€.

No equity:
We do not require any equity in return for your participation.

Visibility:
Opportunities for media attention and exposure to established impact community.

Who can apply?

Focus:
Startups tackling food waste across supply chains including both B2B and B2C solutions.

Stage:
Startups with tested products. We are looking for startups that have already developed a product and have tested it in the market. Ideally, your startup should have achieved a first inflection point, such as acquiring clients, securing investment, or having intellectual property.

Startups based in Germany.
