About our space
Located in the heart of Berlin-Neukölln, our 3,500 m² space was opened in February 2022. The building — renamed CRCLR House — stands as a lighthouse project for sustainable and inclusive architecture in Berlin and beyond.
Situated on the site of the old Kindl Brewery, our space was retrofitted according to circular economy principles. We rescued, we reduced, we reused, and we repurposed – to minimise waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
All building materials are either reused or reusable (except where prohibited by legal regulations). Similarly, interior fittings can largely be dismantled and reassembled.
Our in-house café, The Loop, caters to the gastronomic needs of our community and is sustainably run with a low-waste concept.
Our facility management is focused on waste minimisation and efficient energy use. To combat the millions of tons of office furniture which end up in the landfills each year, Impact Hub Berlin uses rental and reused furniture wherever possible.
The design process of our space was a beautiful example of collaboration. We and our architects consulted with our members, neighbours, and experts.
